One Down...

One wedding down and 5 to go! Sunday was a pretty full on day, started with Austins morning feed at 4am, after he went down to sleep I switched Rage on and started wiring up orchids for the buttonholes and corsages. Managed to get all of these done and the first lot of orchids for the bridal party bqt's by 7am and then hopped in the shower.

The Bridal bqt was done by 8am and then my two little helpers arrived. Kat and Karina were lifesavers on the day, wiring all the orchids for the bqt's, packing the car and then at the venue helping to construct the table centers.

After we were all done, Kat scooted off home to get ready for the wedding and Karina and Myself headed to the pub for a well deserved beer! First beer after abstaining throughout the pregnancy was DISGUSTING I had two mouthfuls and couldn't finish it *shakes head*

Didn't realize until I got home that I totally forgot to take photos of the bridal parties bqt! I desperately need more pics for my portfolio so I've been kicking myself all week. The photographer is a friend of Karina's so fingers crossed she got some good pictures.

Whilst we were all busy doing the wedding flowers, Austin spent the day at home with Rod. Now we've just gotten the little munchkin into a sleep routine, which basically means that he can only be up for 1/2 an hour for each feed then straight back to bed....Rod didn't stick to this on Sunday. So our little munchkin has now turned into a little devil and I'm stuck home starting all over from scratch.

Love.

Meet the love of my life, His names Austin and he is 6 weeks old. He has exactly 4 chubby fat rolls on each of his legs, a bellybutton shaped like an e and a smile that will melt your heart.

These first few weeks have been the most amazing and the scariest of my life. There are days were I look at him and think "how did you get here?" I still can't comprehand that I grew this little being from a few cells. I could spend hours gazing at his little hands and fingers.

On a different note, I have been busy this week getting ready for my first floristry job after taking maternity leave. I have a Wedding this weekend! Looking very much forward to getting the creative juices flowing, it will certainly be interesting to see how I juggle mummy duties and work for the first time. Fingers crossed if the work keeps coming in, I may be able to put of having to go back to work as soon as I thought.
